How it Works
CipherCloud for Salesforce Chatter enables you to overcome these concerns, and safely leverage the cloud by protecting your sensitive information before it leaves your organization. This lets you retain complete and exclusive control over your information, regardless of where it resides in the cloud.
The process is transparent to authorized users and preserves the functionality of Chatter. CipherCloud provides AES 256-bit encryption, tokenization, malware protection, and activity monitoring for any of your information before it goes to the cloud. Granular policy controls let you select appropriate security levels for structured fields, unstructured data, or attachments.
Chatter has become popular because it enables the rapid sharing of information through the cloud with extended networks of employees and business partners. But this also raises risks of sensitive or regulated inadvertently being distributed through the cloud, causing challenges with security, data residency and compliance.
CipherCloud gives you a control point for Chatter posts, links or attachments going to and from the cloud. A reverse-proxy architecture connects all your users— internal, remote, or mobile—seamlessly to Salesforce cloud applications, while allowing you to enforce security policies.
