Community Organisations INTRODUCTION TO THE ANTI-DISCRIMINATION ACT FREE INFORMATION SESSION Ensure that your staff or members of your organisation have a clear understanding of their rights and responsibilities Who should attend? regarding anti-discrimination law in Queensland. Everyone. Reinforce the importance of appropriate lawful behaviours and create a more positive and productive organisation. What does the course cover? Overview In a non-threatening environment this popular 2 hour session provides participants with a brief snapshot of the AntiDiscrimination Act 1991.

This fast-paced, interactive session reinforces respectful, nondiscriminatory behaviours and practices. Content includes: 

unlawful discrimination;

The law is explained using simple language and engaging strategies so participants gain a clear understanding of what behaviours and actions could be unlawful.



vilification and victimisation;



sexual harassment;



workplace harassment;

Questions and group discussion are strongly encouraged throughout the session.
