Student will learn the basic concepts behind  most computer networks, paying special  attention to TCP/IP architecture.

Student will learn how to create simple  distributed applications, focussing on the  client/server model.

Each term we will have 8 labs plus two  additional lab sessions First term labs will cover the Sockets interface  (Java Network Programming) Unfortunately I will not be able to be at the Lab  this course (my colleague Teresa will and she  will take care of second term lectures too).
