Since our establishment in 2008, Peace International Foundation has blossomed into a robust network, joining hands across ethnicity, nationalities, professional and social backgrounds through its NGO initiatives and a single common thread – peace. '

Peace International Foundation is proud to co-host the 6th Annual UN Peace Day with the United Nations. The week-long Hong Kong Peace Festival, 21 -29 September, represents Hong Kong’s contribution to the worldwide celebrations for the UN International Day of Peace.

This year’s theme of “Education for Peace”, aims to promote the growing efforts of educators around the world to integrate Peace building and global engagement into curricular for students of all ages. Through a variety of educational and intercultural events, we join forces with countries from all around the world to unite people from different ethnic groups and cultural backgrounds to achieve our ultimate goal of World Peace through Education. Thank you for supporting our quest for peace, and the development of the first International Peace Centre in Hong Kong.

Colleen Lee – Prize winner of 2005 International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition and many music competitions internationally. Featured artist at international music festivals and a global performer. Recipient of the Young Artist Award by HK Art Development Council in 2008. Peace Music Ambassador of PIF Kinwai Shum – Steinway Artist, a multi Esteban Alvarez – Native of Costa Rica, prizewinner including the first Chinese composer and concert pianist, award winner prizewinner in the Schubert International Piano from Dr. Oscar Arias, Nobel Peace Laureate Competition in Dortmund, Germany. He was and President of Costa Rica for writing presented the certificate of commendation by music for the National Peace Program. He is the government of the Hong Kong SAR in the designated Steinway Artist in 2013 and recognition his musical achievements. Goodwill Music Ambassador of PIF. Shirley Lo – Prizewinner of the 1st Japan-HK International Music Competition, with an exciting professional profile as a soloist, chamber musician and Music Director of Peace International Foundation and gives special performance at the annual UN International Day of Peace Ceremony.

Toshiki Usui – Vienna based, multiple award winner from Italy and Holland International Music competitions. World renowned concert pianist performs in various international music festivals, presented charity concerts under the aegis of the U.N. for the Palestinian Refugee Camps .

Brian Montgomery – Critical acclaimed baritone with performances in various international level opera houses, including Metropolitan Opera. A specialist in the Italian repertoire, has sung over 60 leading roles. He also performed playing different musical instruments and sings in 6 languages.

Joanne Um – 1st prize winner of Sigma Alpha Iota and various international vocal competitions. A soprano solo with numerous Symphony Chorus Scholarship holder of East Bay Opera League and other international Foundations.

Thomas Chan – An expereicenced baritone, performs widely, sung principal roles in a number of opera/musical productions. His passion in singing brings him to Milan frequently and under the tutelage of world-renowned voice teacher Signora Rita Patane.

Wong Sze Hang – An accomplished violinist, recitalist, chamber musician and concertmaster, performed extensively around the world and acts as an experienced concertmaster for orchestras in different parts of the world.

The young violinists from age 5 to 8 years old have performed at Yew Chung International School Open Day concerts and annual concerts. Their repertoires are

Calvin Leung – Young composer of 106 music pieces, gave his first presentation at age 8 at the City Hall Recital Hall. Also the 1st violinist of Yew Chung-Yew Wah International Orchestra, with Special Recognition for Music from YCIS.
