Constructing the Future Lancashire in partnership with the Pennine Lancashire Local Authorities and the Together Housing Group are looking to recruit apprentices for the Empty Homes Project. LinkedUp is the project name given to the Empty Homes Scheme that is being managed by the Together Housing Group and local councils to help bring empty homes across Pennine Lancashire back into occupation. For further information visit our website: http://www.linkedup.org.uk/ The apprenticeships available are Joinery Plastering In order to apply to the scheme you must live in one of the following local authority areas:Blackburn with Darwen Burnley Hyndburn Pendle Rossendale These are 2 year apprenticeships, leading to NVQ Level 2. You will work with a LinkedUp building contractor 4 days a week and attend college 1 day a week. Throughout your apprenticeship you will be paid National Minimum Wage.
Application process Any candidate wishing to apply to be an apprentice on the LinkedUp project must follow the application process below The application is a 3 step process, an online application, an assessment and then once a suitable vacancy in your area becomes available, an interview. 1. Log onto the following website and register your details www.bconstructive.co.uk 2. Once you have registered you can then fill in the online application form. 3. When you fill in the application form you will be asked if you want to complete the assessment online or at a local test centre. If you choose online, you will be emailed a username and password which will enable you to complete the online assessment. If you choose to do the test at a local test centre, you will be sent a letter giving you details of the next available test date. Details of the assessment and practice questions can be found via the following link http://www.bconstructive.co.uk/en/apprenticeships/develop-yourskills/assessment.aspx We strongly recommend that you do the practice questions before completing the test. You must pass the test to progress to the next stage. 4. If you pass the test and a vacancy for your chosen trade becomes available in the area which you live, you will be asked to attend an interview.
