NOTE: Students two or more years below grade level in Reading Mastery will be placed in Corrective Reading. Students who are at/above the 40th percentile on MAP after finishing RM 5 will go into Wonders. Decision rules for end of 6th grade: Discontinue Reading Mastery whether or not Level 5 has been completed. Students not completing RM 5 who are at the 40th percentile and up will go into Prentice-Hall in 7th grade; students below the 40th percentile will take the Language! C/D placement test. Those who are too high for C/D (i.e., they place into E/F) will go into Prentice Hall. Students who finish RM 5 partway through 6th grade will take the Language! placement test but all will finish out 6th grade in Language! C/D regardless of placement test results. Upon entering 7th grade, any students from that group who placed into Language! E/F will do Prentice-Hall; the others will continue with C/D as 7th graders.
