Use of CPM is a curriculum option

Intensive Requirements - Math Geometry /Liberal Arts Math 1 (1206310/1208290)

Placement required for Algebra 1 EOC exam Level 1 students

Placement in Liberal Arts Math 1 for Algebra 1 EOC Level 2 students at discretion of the based on need

Liberal Arts Math 1 focuses on review and preparation for the Algebra 1 EOC exam

Students will earn a math credit in both courses

Can be scheduled in consecutive period blocks but not required

College Readiness Requirements- English

English 4 College Readiness (1001405)

Required for 12th graders not demonstrating college readiness on the PERT, ACT or SAT

Students requesting an honors or AP 12th grade English requires both English 4 College Readiness AND the honors/AP course

Non college ready students with a 262 scale score on 10th grade FCAT reading are eligible for honors or AP 12th grade language arts courses

DO NOT need English 4 College Readiness but WILL need work toward meeting the college readiness requirement through PERT, ACT or SAT

College Readiness Requirements - Math

Math for College Readiness (1200700)

Required for students requesting a 12th grade level math course who have not demonstrated college readiness as determined by test scores on the PERT, ACT or SAT

As an alternative, students requesting an advanced 12th grade level math course will be required to enroll in a semester of Math for College Success (1200410) through Seminole County Virtual School AND the advanced math course
