Library cards are free if you are a resident of the City of Brantford or if you pay household or business taxes to the City of Brantford. Sign up at either branch by bringing in two pieces of identification with your name and current address.

Here’s how long you can borrow items for: • Most material including Arduino Kits, FitBits, Physical Literacy Activity Backpacks - 21 days • DVDs, Video Games, Playviews, Cricut Cartridges - 7 days (no renewal on video games) • Sewing machine - 2 weeks, no renewals • DVD Express - 3 days with no holds or renewals • Book Club in a Bag and Curriculum Kits - 6 weeks, no renewals • Bestsellers - 7 days with no holds or renewals
Renewals
You will need your library card to check out and renew materials. Library material can be renewed by logging into the Library catalogue online at brantford.library.on.ca, by using our Automated Telephone Renewal Service at 519-756-2399 or in person at the Circulation Desk. You will need a PIN (Personal Identification Number) to do your own renewals online or over the phone.
Cardholder Agreement
When you sign your library card you agree to return all items borrowed, pay for overdue materials, and pay replacement and processing costs for lost or damaged items. If you lose your card there is a small replacement fee.
