In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. –Genesis 1:1  Christians don’t have the reputation of being particularly interested in “going green”.  Christians seek to avoid both the deification of nature and the exploitation of nature (John Stott, The Radical Disciple).  Why it makes sense for Christians to be concerned about creation care: 1. God is creation’s creator. 2. God appointed us stewards of his creation. 3. God is seen through His creation. 4. Our care of creation (or lack thereof) will impact future generations. 5. God has plans to redeem humanity and all creation.  However small our contributions may seem, each of us has a role to play in caring for God’s creation.
