Watch your surroundings carefully for transaction safety and privacy. 3 Keep in mind exchange rates, keep all receipts, and watch your account carefully. 4 Online purchases will not work abroad if originated in the USA, but the card should work for signature based transactions done abroad. 5 Make sure the credit union has your current cell phone number.
