Cricket Development Manager Cornwall is a prestigious club with a proud history. Former New Zealand representatives include names such as Mark Greatbach, Adam Parore and Martin Crowe. Currently, our members Katie Perkins and Maddy Green represent Cornwall on the world stage. As recently as 2014/15 Cornwall won the New Zealand Cricket Club of the Year for our achievements on and off the field. Working for a club such as Cornwall is a step in the right direction for anyone looking to progress in the sport and recreation sector. REPORTING TO: General Manager and through him to the Cornwall Board of Directors AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: The Junior Section. This covers all players from midgets (school year 1) to under 18. The main focus will be on those who play with a hard ball, which ranges from year 5 to under 18. The primary responsibility (but not limited strictly to) of the role is to complete the five tasks described under the headings below. 1. Talent Identification, Player Retention and Player Development. 2. Coach Development and Retention 3. Administer Junior Holiday Clinics and One on One Program 4. Central Rep Operations 5. Junior Interclub Program DATES: Commencing October 2017 with contract running until the end of March 2018. Required for up to 25 hours per week during peak months from October until December. QUALIFICATION: Ideally the candidate will have a level 1 cricket coaching qualification.
