De-risking through education Introduction to Standard Chartered Correspondent Banking Academy Initiative

Standard Chartered’s unique “De-risking through education” initiative aims to manage the financial crime risk in its correspondent banking portfolio, support growth in emerging markets and promote financial inclusion. The initiative focuses on reducing financial crime risk arising from SC’s dealings with its respondent banks, many of which are based in emerging markets, by educating them on international best practices in financial crime compliance and helping them to strengthen their AML/CTF controls. “DE-RISKING THROUGH EDUCATION” PILLARS Country Academies
