IT Support officer ESTRO, the European SocieTy for Radiotherapy & Oncology, is a non-profit and scientific organisation that fosters the role of Radiation Oncology in order to improve patients’ care in the multimodality treatment of cancer. ESTRO has over 5000 individual members in and outside Europe and supports all the Radiation Oncology professionals in their daily practice: Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Radiobiologists and RTTs (Radiation TherapisTs) and the wider oncology community. Through its congresses, special meetings, educational courses and publications, ESTRO promotes innovation, research, education. In the last two years, ESTRO has been active in setting up a strategy for Public Affairs and oncopolicy, highlighting the importance of partnerships and positioning of radiation oncology at European and international level. The channels ESTRO is targeting are: patients, radiotherapy national societies, industry, European and international decision makers and other scientific and professional oncology associations. You will work in a stimulating environment, in the utmost service-oriented Office Efficiency Unit. You will happily support and daily interact with ESTRO internal stakeholders. You will be proactive in the optimization of the IT tools in line and accordance with ESTRO policies and standards. The working environment is pleasant, with an international team of 28 professionals: flexibility, responsibility and collaboration are highly valued. You will work closely with the responsible of IT development. You will team up with your direct colleagues of the Office Efficiency Unit.

Job objective Actively maintain the IT network and related devices ensuring that they run smoothly and efficiently, and provide friendly technical support and advice to end- users.

Main Responsibilities -

Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners Provide Windows and MacOS support Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions. Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance upgrades Maintain records of software licences Manage stocks of equipment including consumables and other supplies Diagnose and solve minor software issue. Help end-users with their requests (e.g. resetting a password) Install IP Phone and computers on request (cabling, patching) Ensure Smartphone/Tablet (Android, IOS, Windows) support and configuration.

Check monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios). Provide basic Ms-Office suite support. Document services

Requirements -

Good knowledge of all currently supported Microsoft desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office. Good knowledge of Windows Command Line. Acquaintance with Network Printing. Acquaintance with Network Shared Drives Security. Good knowledge of File Systems (NTFS, FAT32, HFS+, …) Good knowledge of Storage technologies (NAS, SAN, …). Understanding of User expectations and IT policies. Reasonable knowledge of active directory, DNS, MacOS, Network management and Group Policy. Acquaintance with PC/Mac hardware. Knowledge of DNS and DHCP. Good understanding of network printers. Understanding of Network Technologies. Acquaintance with Computer Devices. Excellent written and verbal English. French or Dutch mandatory to liaise with local suppliers. Other languages an asset.

Profile -

Bachelor degree with relevant qualification or equivalent by experience Prior work experience involving contacts with customers is preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Service mindset is engraved in your DNA Good at explaining technical concepts to non IT people Ability to prioritize tasks Good organisation skills Capacity of working under pressure Sense of responsibility and confidentiality Eagerness to keep oneself up-to-date with the latest technologies Capacity to work autonomously and with a high-level of common sense At ease in front of a command line. Be acquainted with Virtualization.
