from a root cDNA library using a partial pea ADHI cDNA (1) as a probe. This clone encodes a polypeptide of 380 amino acids. The coding sequence exhibits 92% identity with the partial pea ADHI coding sequence (1) and 73% identity with the maize ADHI coding sequence (2).
