What is Progress? Progress is a Condition Management and Supported Employment Programme that will help you manage (or minimise) your particular healthrelated barriers to employment. We will work with you to devise your personalised package of one2one and small group support options including: ✓ Stress and condition management ✓ Specialist health, lifestyle and employment advice ✓ Access to a wide range of appropriate training courses ✓ Supported work placements and employment opportunities
Who is Progress for? Progress is for you if you live in Inverclyde and you: ✓ feel that your physical or mental health problem places you at a disadvantage when you are competing in the job market ✓ suffer with depression, stress, muscular pain, arthritis, a heart problem or any other long term health condition ✓ lack the confidence to fully participate in the world of work
What can you expect at Progress? At Progress you can expect to be: ✓ accepted and valued for who you are ✓ supported by a highly qualified and experienced team in a client focussed, confidential and safe environment ✓ encouraged to think about how your health condition or personal circumstances might be a barrier to gaining employment ✓ challenged to set realistic goals and consider what you might need to do in order to manage your condition and move towards employment ✓ empowered to rebuild your personal resources, resilience and confidence so you can regain your energy and enthusiasm for life ✓ motivated to identify your strengths, build on past work experience and when ready engage in supported work placement opportunities which will further boost your confidence and develop work related skills
What is expected of you? For you to gain the most from Progress you need to be: ✓ committed to keeping your appointments always being punctual ✓ prepared and willing to consider making changes in your lifestyle or habits: this could be as simple as: ✓ making the effort to always present yourself at Progress as well as you would if you were going there for an interview ✓ taking on board suggestions relating to eating habits or exercise ✓ focussed on achieving your goals by keeping to the agreements you make with the Progress team

Do I have to pay for Progress? No. Progress is part of the wide range of employability services available throughout Inverclyde, funded by Inverclyde Council. Progress works closely with The Trust, Financial Fitness, Inverclyde Advice and Employment Rights Centre to ensure you have full access to all the employability support you require (including Better Off In Work calculations, benefits and employment advice, CV writing, job searches as well as a wide range of training opportunities). *Please note access to Progress requires registration with The Trust who provide the main employability services throughout Inverclyde. We can assist you to register with them.
