Noting the blue light emitted from the Wii’s media slot was its distinct signature (and the topic of Nintendo blogs everywhere), Activate!
designed the Wii remote replica as a blue-lighted keychain. Because of its popularity, Nintendo used the remote keychain in a variety of ways and has since re-ordered it many times. However, its most effective use was to promote Nintendo Power, a magazine for Nintendo enthusiasts.
