what The digital sector in Manchester continues to grow and the businesses within our membership are booming. Manchester has an ambition to become a digital city and in order to achieve this we need a large, highly skilled digital workforce and a pipeline of talent that will leave school, college and university with industry standard, work ready digital skills.
why The skills festival is a 4 day event that will highlight and discuss the issues facing the industry as well as addressing them on a practical level by hosting the region’s largest digital recruitment fair and offering students hands on practical experience of digital.

when The Festival will take place between 14 – 17 February at Manchester Town Hall and across other locations in the city centre. There will be 4 main events during the Festival but there will also be a number of smaller informal events during the 4 days.

conference: 10:00 – 16:00 - Tuesday, February 14th Day 1 is an afternoon conference where we look at how industry engages with education, what businesses need to do to recruit and retain digital talent and how we are educating the next generation of digital talent.
talent day: 11:30 – 15:00 - Wednesday, February 15th Day 2 is Talent Day; a large scale careers fair where over 60 businesses meet students from schools, colleges and universities across the North West.
experience day: 10:00–15:00-Thursday,February16th &Friday,February17th The Experience Days are a fantastic opportunity for students to learn how to build websites, how to write code, hacking skills and much more.
