The main topics which were covered were Income from Salary, Role of Inspector in the department, Income from Capital Gain, Examination of books of Accounts, Income from House Property, TDS Provisions, Recording of statement, Income from Other sources, Drafting of Questionnaire, Conducting of enquiry & investigation of Bank accounts, Income from Business and Profession, Deduction under Chapter VI A, Sections 10(23C),11&12A of IT Act, AST, TEP, Search & Seizure, Tally, CCS Conduct Rules, Ethics and values, Central Scrutiny Reports, Recovery proceeding under Section 222-225, Stress Management, Internal & Revenue Audit, Section 263-264, Rajbhasha etc. 23 participants attended this course.

Two Days Specialized Course on Quality Assessment of Specific Business/Trades – Training at the Door Steps was conducted at Amritsar. The total number of participants in this course was 20. The course was inaugurated by Sh. Surinder Jit Singh, CIT-I, Amritsar.

The topics which were covered were Session on Relevance of Quality Assessment-What is quality assessment and why, How to draft a Quality Assessment Order, Assessment of Real Estate, Bogus Bill Entries in the Books of Accounts, Right to Information Act-2005, Joint Venture Agreement in Contractual Cases, Assessment of Retail Liquor Business, Assessment of Garment Exporters etc. The faculty members were Sh. 3. One Day Seminar on Tax Education for Senior Citizen on 18.01.2013
A one day seminar on Tax Education for Senior Citizens was conducted on 18.01.2013. The objective of the seminar was to give insight to the Senior Citizens into the provisions of Income

tax relevant to them and to equip them with basic knowledge on issues like PAN, filing of returns, deductions available etc. 24 participants attended this course. The objective of the seminar was Latest development in Income Tax regarding Filing of return, Rectification, Refund, Tax credit, Session regarding Refund Problems, TDS Credit etc. Sh. Rajdeep Singh, AD (System) was the faculty member of the Seminar.

One day workshop on Streamlining Procedure and Improving Quality of Appeal Filed held at New Delhi on 29.01.2013 One day workshop on ‘Streamlining Procedure and Improving Quality of Appeals filed’ for all Administrative CsIT and their ITOs belonging to Delhi Region was held at conference Room in C.R. Building, New Delhi on 29.01.2013. All the administrative CsIT and ITOs from each

administrative CIT Charge attended the seminar. Smt. M. Sailo, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax –I, New Delhi inaugurated the course. The total number of participants was 27.
