#DIRTYGRANDPA CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS Wednesday January 6th, 2016 – Friday January 22nd, 2016
IMPORTANT NOTE – DO NOT ENTER THE CONTEST BEFORE READING THESE RULES: By entering this contest, each entrant agrees that he/she is entering into this contest at his/her own free will and agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties (defined below) from all claims, loss, liability, damages or expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees and legal costs, associated with, or in any way related to, his/her participation in this Contest, including without limitation, arising in any way from his/her Entry Tweet (defined below), and, if applicable, the use of a prize. 1. The #DirtyGrandpa contest (the "Contest") starts at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on Wednesday January 6th, 2016 and closes on Friday January 22nd, 2016 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (the "Contest Period"). There is one (1) prize (the "Prize") to be won. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. 2. The Contest sponsors are Bell Media Inc. (MTV Canada) and Videoville Showtime Inc. (VVS Films) (the "Contest Sponsors"). 3. To enter, entrant must be a legal resident of Canada (excluding Quebec) and must have reached the legal age of majority in his/her province or territory of residence at the time of participation in the Contest. Despite the foregoing, employees and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of any of the Contest Sponsors, their respective agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, promotional and advertising agencies and/or administrators (collectively, the “Contest Parties”) are ineligible to enter. A winner of a previous Bell Media Inc. contest within the three (3) months preceding the start of this Contest (including persons designated by such winners to take ownership of prizes) and persons domiciled with such winner are also ineligible to enter this Contest. 4. TO ENTER the Contest, from your Twitter account (an “Account”), follow the ‘MyBreakStory’ Twitter account (“@MyBreakStory”) and submit a unique and original text only tweet of your spring break story that includes a mention of “@MyBreakStory” (the “Mention”) as well as the hashtag #DirtyGrandpa (the “Hashtag”) during the Contest Period (collectively, an "Entry Tweet"). For greater certainty, in order to be valid, each Entry Tweet must: (i) be text only – a photo/image/graphic/video must not be included in any manner as part of an Entry Tweet (e.g. within the Entry Tweet itself, through a hyperlink, via Vines or any other image based platforms, etc.); (ii) include the Mention to help ensure that your Entry Tweet appears in the Contest Sponsors’ Mentions tab; (iii) comply with the Submission Requirements provided below; (iv) comply with the Twitter Terms of Service (https://twitter.com/tos?lang=en) and privacy policy (https://twitter.com/privacy?lang=en); (v) include the Hashtag; and (vi) conform to Twitter’s (140) character limitation, including the Mention and the Hashtags. (collectively the “Entry Tweet Terms”).

By participating in this Contest in the manner described above, each entrant agrees to be legally bound by these official rules and regulations (the "Rules"). Entrants may not entice, solicit, invite, or encourage others to enter the Contest via their Entry Tweet. Any Entry Tweet that is incorrect or incomplete, received outside the Contest Period, or that contravenes the Submission Requirements (all as determined by Contest Sponsors in their sole and absolute discretion) will not be eligible for entry in this Contest and will be disqualified and considered void. Any Entry Tweet that does not follow the above format (as determined by the Contest Sponsors in their sole and absolute discretion) will be discarded and will not be eligible for entry in this Contest. There is a limit of one (1) Entry Tweet per individual per Day (where a “Day” begins at 12:00:01 a.m. and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET) permitted during the Contest Period. If it is discovered by the Contest Sponsors (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Contest Sponsors) that any person has attempted to: (i) exceed any of the limits stated in these Rules; and/or (ii) use multiple names, identities, email addresses, Accounts and/or any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in or to disrupt this Contest; then he/she may be disqualified from the Contest in the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Sponsors. Your Entry Tweet may be rejected if (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Sponsors) it is not fully completed with all required information and submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period. The Released Parties (defined below) are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or incompatible Entry Tweets (all of which are void). All Entry Tweets are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Contest Sponsors reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Contest Sponsors – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any Entry Tweet or other information entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Contest Sponsors deems necessary, in their sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Contest Sponsors within the timeline specified by the Contest Sponsors may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Sponsors. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of this Contest will be Twitter for entries received on Twitter and the Contest server machine(s) for email entries. In the event of a dispute, Entry Tweets shall be deemed to be submitted by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the Account used to submit the applicable Entry Tweet. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the person who is assigned to a Twitter account by www.twitter.com. An entrant/Follower may be required to provide proof that he/she is the Authorized Account Holder of the Account associated with the applicable Entry Tweet. All Entry Tweets become the property of Contest Sponsors and will not be acknowledged or returned. Important note: If your Twitter account is set to "protected mode", your Entry Tweet and/or responses may not be visible in ‘@MyBreakStory inbox and may not thus be received by the Contest Sponsors unless you previously consented to permit @MyBreakStory to see your Entry Tweet and/or responses. IMPORTANT NOTE: You will need to create an Account if you don't already have one. Membership on Twitter is free, and registration for Twitter can be obtained by logging on to www.twitter.com (the "Twitter web site") and following the on-screen instructions to register for an Account. In addition, eligible entrants will need to become a "follower" of @MyBreakStory (each, a "Follower") in order to be notified that you are the potential Prize winner (if applicable) in accordance with the procedure outlined below. To become a Follower, an eligible entrant may: (i) visit mtv.ca/dirtygrandpa; or (ii) visit www.twitter.com/MyBreakStory; or (iii) from his/her Twitter home page, click on the "Find People" tab and perform a search for "@MyBreakStory"; and (iii) click on the "Follow" button corresponding to @MyBreakStory.

TO ENTER the Contest, using an email account: Entrants who do not wish to use or create a Twitter account may submit an “Entry Tweet” via email. During the Contest Period, prepare a unique and original text only email that is a maximum of 140 characters inclusive of the Contest Mention and Hasthtag describing your spring break story in the following manner which mimics Tweet format: [insert story here] @MyBreakStory #DirtyGrandpa #Contest Submit the email Entry Tweet to
[email protected] during the Contest Period with the subject line “#DirtyGrandpa Contest: FirstName LastName” (where “FirstName Lastname” is replaced by your own first name and last name). Limit of (one) 1 email Entry Tweet per person, per day. In order to be valid, each email Entry Tweet must comply with the Entry Tweet Terms described above, as applicable to email format. 5. PRIZE: There is one (1) Prize available to be won in connection with this Contest. The Prize consists of one (1) CAD$500 Visa® Gift Card. Any and all terms and conditions associated with a Visa® gift card apply and are at the sole discretion of Visa®. 6. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Entry Tweets that contain obscene, offensive, or any language communicating messages inconsistent with the positive images to which the Contest Sponsors wish to associate themselves will be void. Your Entry Tweet must be unique and original (i.e. you cannot submit the same Entry Tweet more than one time in this Contest and/or copy someone else’s Entry Tweet) and must be text only (you must not include a photo/image/graphic/video by any means whatsoever) and must be written in English only. Your Entry Tweet must not entice, solicit, invite, or encourage others to enter the Contest. By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to be legally bound by these Rules and by the interpretation of these Rules by the Contest Sponsors, and further warrants and represents that any Entry Tweet he/she submits: I. IS UNIQUE AND ORIGINAL TO HIM/HER AND THAT THE ENTRANT HAS ALL NECESSARY RIGHTS IN AND TO THE ENTRY TWEET TO ENTER THE CONTEST; II. DOES NOT VIOLATE ANY LAW; III. DEROGATORY CHARACTERIZATIONS OF ANY ETHNIC, RACIAL, SEXUAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER GROUPS; CONTENT THAT ENDORSES, CONDONES AND/OR DISCUSSES ANY ILLEGAL, INAPPROPRIATE, VIOLENT OR RISKY ACTIVITY, BEHAVIOUR OR CONDUCT; PERSONAL INFORMATION OF INDIVIDUALS INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, NAMES AND ADDRESSES (PHYSICAL OR E-MAIL); ANY OTHER CONTENT THAT IS OR COULD BE CONSIDERED INAPPROPRIATE, UNSUITABLE OR OFFENSIVE, ALL AS DETERMINED BY THE CONTEST SPONSORS IN THEIR SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION. By participating in the Contest and submitting an Entry Tweet, each entrant: (i) without limiting the Twitter Terms of Service, grants to the Contest Sponsors, in perpetuity, a non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use his/her Entry Tweet, in whole or in part, for advertising or promoting the Contest or for any other reason; (ii) waives all moral rights in and to his/her Entry Tweet in favour of the Contest Sponsors; and (iii) agrees to release and hold harmless the Contest Parties and each of their respective agents, employees, directors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims based on publicity rights, defamation, slander, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trade-mark infringement or any other cause of action that relates in any way to his/her Entry Tweet. For greater certainty, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion and at any time during the Contest, to report and/or disqualify any Entry Tweet if a complaint is received with respect to the Entry Tweet, or for any other reason. If such an action is necessary at any point, then the Contest Sponsors reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify the Entry Tweet and/or the associated entrant. If the Contest Sponsors determine, in their sole and absolute discretion, that any Entry Tweet does not comply with these Rules for any reason at any time, then the Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify the Entry Tweet and/or the associated entrant. The Contest Parties do not condone the activities that may be described in the Entry Tweets and the winning entrant will be determined at random and not by the content of their Entry Tweet. 7. On Monday January 25th, 2016 at approximately 11:00 a.m. ET, a random draw will take place at Bell Media Inc. in Toronto, Ontario from among all eligible Entry Tweets received during the Contest Period. The first entrant selected in the course of the draw will be deemed the potential Prize winner. The odds of winning the Prize will depend upon the total number of eligible Entry Tweets received during the Contest Period. MTV Canada, acting reasonably, will attempt to contact the potential Prize winner by sending a direct message on Twitter to the Account that submitted the selected Entry Tweet, within two (2) business days from the draw, from the official @MyBreakStory Twitter account (“Winner Notification”). If the potential Prize winner cannot be contacted and has not responded (according to the instructions in the Winner Notification) within two (2) business days of MTV Canada’s first attempt to contact, or if contacted, does not claim his/her Prize, or does not meet all of the Contest terms and conditions outlined in these Rules (all as determined by the Contest Sponsors in their sole and absolute discretion), such potential Prize winner will be disqualified and will forfeit the Prize, and another Entry Tweet may be selected from among all remaining eligible Entry Tweets (and, in such event, the foregoing notification procedure shall apply, with the necessary amendments). Each entrant is solely responsible for: (i) setting his/her Account to public so that their Entry Tweet is visible; (ii) ensuring that his/her Account settings are set so as to be able to receive direct messages (including a Winner Notification) from the @MyBreakStory as required to administer the Contest in accordance with these Rules, and (iii) regularly checking his or her Account for any such direct messages. 4
8. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. In order to be declared the Prize winner, the potential Prize winner must first: (i) correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question administered by Bell Media Inc., and (ii) sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors, a full release and indemnity form stating that, among other things, he/she has read and understood these Rules, grants all consents required, agrees to be available and to participate in publicity and/or promotions related to the Contest and/or the Contest Sponsors and/or similar matters, authorizes the Contest Sponsors to broadcast, publish, disseminate and otherwise use his/her name, city/town/village and province/territory of residence, Entry Tweet, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion and/or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and/or information purposes at no additional compensation to the potential Prize winner, beyond the awarding of or participation in the Prize, accepts the Prize as offered and releases the Released Parties from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential Prize winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize. In the event that that the potential Prize winner does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these Rules, Contest Sponsors shall have the right to disqualify the potential Prize winner, and the Contest Sponsors shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. 9. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entrants and Entry Tweets, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest. 10. The Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for garbled, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected Entry Tweets, mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting Rules by mail or requesting the name of the Prize winner (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). Contest Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials or data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Contest Sponsors, in their sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond their control, Contest Sponsors reserve their right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest, and/or select a winner from among all eligible Entry Tweets received up until the time of cancellation, termination, modification, amendment, extension or suspension. Contest Sponsors reserve their right to modify the Rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions hereof. The Contest Sponsors reserve their right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. Any attempts to deliberately damage the Contest web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made the Contest Sponsors reserve their right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law. Contest Sponsors shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant's computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest or from downloading any material related to the Contest. 11. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. Personal information collected from winners will be used by Contest Sponsors for the purpose of administering 5
this Contest. By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the manner of collection, use and disclosure of personal information as set out in Bell Media Inc.'s privacy policy, which is available at bellmedia.ca/about/Media_Privacy.page. This section does not limit any other consent(s) that an individual may provide the Contest Sponsors or others in relation to the collection, use and/or disclosure of their personal information. 12. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest related materials, including but not limited to point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of the Rules shall prevail, govern and control. 13. With the exception of Entry Tweets, all intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade-names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Contest Sponsors and/or their respective affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited. 14. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Twitter. Twitter is completely released of all liability by each participant in this Contest. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to the Contest Sponsors and not Twitter. You may only use one (1) Account to participate in the Contest. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you comply with Twitter’s privacy policies and terms of use at all times while participating in the Contest.
