As seen on You Tube! This is a raw, upbeat and fun choreography that fuses Turkish Gypsy and oriental belly dance technique. It's all about happy vibes and celebrating the beauty of these two forms of dance in one sensational choreography.
Saturday 13th April, 10:00am – 1:00pm ‘Çiftetelli’ Along with karsilama, Çiftetelli is among the quintessential Turkish rhythms that belly dancers know and perform to. Çiftetelli means 'double stringed' in Turkish. It is often joyous and upbeat but can also be sensual and mysterious. In addition to being popular in Turkey, Çiftetelli is also widespread in Greece and other former Ottoman territories.

Sunday 14 April, 10:00am – 1:00pm ‘Ağır Roman’ Literally means 'Heavy Romani'. It is a slow karsilama which is very strong and powerful. It is often performed with a Turkish davul (drum) and clarinet. It is easier for an inexperienced dance student to dance the difficult 9/8 rhythm karsilama in Agir Roman style than it is to do it to a faster one.
Sunday 14th April, 2:00pm – 5:00pm ‘Turkish Oriental’ The muezzin's cry echoes from the minarets across the beautiful Istanbul horizon and then you hear modern beats from the clubs along the Bosphorus! The place where East meets West. Be swept away to Istanbul with this beautiful oriental choreography in which the music oscillates through the many wonderful sounds of Turkey with a contemporary twist. Ozgen captures the soul of the music with his gorgeous choreography.
