The Art of Shaving Launches Barber Spa® at

59th Street Flagship in New York City On average, department stores today dedicate less than 100 sq. ft of selling floor to men’s grooming, an industry that is booming despite such obstacles. This spring, The Art of Shaving and Bloomingdale’s will revolutionize the way men’s shaving products are presented with the unveiling of a 400 sq. ft men’ s grooming department complete with The Art of Shaving Barber Spa® on the main floor of Bloomingdale’s flagship 59th Street location in New York City. “The Art of Shaving Barber Spa® at the 59th Street location was a natural step in our growth with Bloomingdale’s. We are pleased to strengthen our growing partnership with them. Our mission is to offer men the highest quality shaving products, instruments and barber services while recreating the personal attention of The Art of Shaving Shops within the department store format.” says CEO and co-founder of The Art of Shaving, Eric Malka. The Art of Shaving Barber Spa at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street will offer the brand’s full menu of services, as well as, an extended assortment of products and handcrafted instruments not previously found at Bloomingdale’s. This includes The Art of Shaving aromatherapy-based shaving products and the complete line of natural skincare, hair care, body care and fragrance. In addition, the Bloomingdale’s 59th Street location will present a larger assortment of shaving and grooming instruments, all handcrafted in luxurious materials, and designed to provide optimal results. Myriam Zaoui, Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of The Art of Shaving, is responsible for store design and developed a new Barber Spa design exclusively for Bloomingdale’s. “I wanted this location to share the masculine, elegant feel of our own shops, but with a sleek, modern aesthetic that would compliment Bloomingdale’s new visual,” says Zaoui. “The result is a luxurious space of contemporary lines created by black lacquered furniture, an elegant black crystal chandelier, and two black and chrome barber chairs.”

The Art of Shaving will fully staff the location with Master Barbers to provide hot towel shaves and haircuts,and a friendly team of Shaving Specialists to educate customers on how to achieve The 4 Elements of The Perfect Shave®. “Bloomingdale’s is thrilled to have partnered with The Art of Shaving to create the first barber spa at our 59th Street flagship store,” says Howard Kreitzman, vice president, cosmetics and fragrances for Bloomingdale’s. “The new shop allows us to provide the best of the best in men’s shaving and barber services to our guests.” Founded in 1996, The Art of Shaving is a unique grooming brand passionately devoted to the very best in men’s skin care.
