Artisan Vendors Needed For Las Vegas 2017 Dia De Los Muertos Celebration Nov. 2 Submit Day Of The Dead Vendor Applications By Oct. 2 Calling all artisans! The city of Las Vegas is looking for artisan vendors specializing in Mexican art to showcase and sell their works at the 2017 Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration. This free city of Las Vegas event will be open to the public of all ages Thursday, Nov. 2, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park, 720 Twin Lakes Drive. The vendor participation fee is $35 and must be submitted once the vendor is accepted for the event. Vendor spaces are approximately 10 feet by 12 feet and include one table and two chairs. All artisans ages 18 and older who create original Mexican folk arts and crafts in any of a variety of media, including paints, sculpture, print work, photographs, fabric art, jewelry, ceramics, woodworking or home décor, are encouraged to apply by completing the Vendor Application Form available online. Dia de los Muertos face painters who are properly licensed also are encouraged to apply. Follow the form instructions for submittal. Submissions will be reviewed by the city’s Office of Cultural Affairs staff. Artists are responsible for their own sales transactions and taxes; there will not be any commission applied to sales.
