Lesson 2: God Speaks GOD’S WORD IS POWERFUL AND ACTIVE When we and if we understand that God's speaks, then our Bible's should become our most precious possessions. This treasured word is available today for everyone who wants it. There are many different versions as well as different language translations. When we realize that the Bible is and that it is available to us and is continue to declare God's word we should be wanting to spend time with it learning what it says. This should be a desire we should all have. The question is why? Because is there we can listen what God has to say. This is a truth that should give us joy. What the Bible says is what God says. So as the Bible speaks, God is speaking to all men. One of the most amazing truth of the Bible, is that it stands itself on His own. There are many passages in which it gives testimony to its own assurance and purposes.

All of the scriptures, all of the Bible, is God's word. Not only part of it, but the whole Bible is God's word. Notice the word "breathed". It is a way of saying that all of the Bible comes from God's own mouth. So what about who wrote God’s Word! these words? Aren't this men? Did God whisper on their ears? There is a responsibility that Men have in this book. We will learn more about this as we continue. Lets read on 1 Thessalonians 2:13: "And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers."

The Bible says, or in other words God says to us the following: 2 Timothy 3:16-17: " All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man [boys and girls] of God may be equipped for every good work." There are some important things we can learn from this passage.

Paul is saying that the words he spoke to the Thessalonians was God's word. We can learn as well that the Bible is also the word of certain men. God is using men to write through them His word. Paul says, the "...you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers."

Lesson 2: God Speaks GOD’S WORD IS POWERFUL AND ACTIVE

We can learn as well that the Bible is also the word of certain men. God is using men to write through them His word. Paul says, the "...you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers."

God, through the Holy Spirit guided their hands to write His word. It is very interesting to see how each book of the Bible are so different. But what never changes is the fact that they wrote what God exactly wanted to say. It is very important to realize that.

So, is it possible that the Bible can be from men but really from God? How can be sure that these words written by men is really God's word?

Just like the inspired writers of past days which wrote the Bible, we can be assured that the Bible it is God's word. Learning and believing ins God's word we will have as a reward the fruits which are promised in God's word. Paul said, in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 : " All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be equipped for every good work."

Peter helps us through this verse. 2 Peter 1:20-21:"no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was every produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. There you have our answer. Through the Holy Spirit of God, who also dwells in those whom believe and trust in Christ, help guiding, and writing and producing the Bible. An important key phrase is: "...but men spoke from God as they were "carried" along by the Holy Spirit. This is why we can say that the Bible is from God but also from men. Because it was men whom wrote the Bible but

Praise God that our Lord speaks and we are thankful that we can have His word. I pray that it would help you grow closer to God, closer to His wisdom. I also pray that we can commit to read the Bible more so we can learn all of that which God has for our lives. I pray that by reading it we can learn to Honor God and bring even more blessings to our lives.

That means, we can learn, and we will grow in God's word. Because that is what His word says. The Bible would help us do, that which the Word of God has entrusted in it for us to follow, and obey.
