As an adviser on drilling fluids and shale controlling procedures self was responsible for successful drilling of 11 deep gas wells in South Oman in a record time of 2 ½ years with a very high success rate. Also acquainted with cement slurries, weight and displacement liquids and I got actively involved in casing and cementation jobs. Handled various down hole problems in association with drilling crew and other key persons. Present Position: Working as Consultant Mud Engineer for Australian Mud Company in Papua New Guinea. Responsible for complete fluids management for exploratory wells and handling KCl/Polymer mud and mud weight ranges from 9 to 12 PPG. Deviated wells are drilled with non damaging mud and attending DST and analysing water samples. Previous Jobs: Halliburton-Oman: Worked for about 8 months in Central Oman for Halliburton as a Consultant Drilling Fluids Engineer and handled KCl/Polymer mud and well acquainted with WS2000 Baroid Software. Worked with cement slurries and displacement liquids and Completed wells by NaCl brines MB Petroleum Services-Oman: Complete Drilling Fluids Management on 24 hours basis was handled at the Rig site and acting as Middle Manager between the Client-PDO (Petroleum Development Oman) and the Drilling Contractor. 1. Drilled deep gas wells with low mud weight (1.25 SG) and high mud weight (with Salt saturated high-density (2.2 SG) Polymer muds in North and South Oman with high H2S & used scavenger. 2. Drilled LNG gas wells with Bentonite (PHB) and well site water for top hole (partially flocculated), XCD Polymer mud for 12 ¼” and 8 3/8” sections. Salt inhibited muds (saturated) were used to drill trouble some formations like Shuaiba, Gharif shales. Drilled one well with Under Balanced Mud (UBM) to reduce losses and to see the improvement in ROP (rate of penetration). Used 10 % crude oil in fresh water Polymer mud with out any weight material.

3. Drilled deviated and multi-lateral wells using XCD Polymer muds (salt inhibitive and Soltex treated). 4. Reservoir sections were drilled with OBM (oil based mud) using VCM (Versa clean). Handled OBM safely without any environmental issues. 5. NaCl and CaCl2 brines were prepared for completion jobs. 6. Attended cementation jobs of 13 3/8”, 9 5/8” and 5 ½” casings. 7. In South Oman GGT (Gas Garrain test) was carried out to determine H2S gas and to decide how much ZnCO3 is required. 8. Handled Completion Brines with Calcium Chloride and Sodium Chloride and completed wells with Filtered Brines. ONGC Ltd-India: Attended drill site duties to monitor the preparation and maintenance of water based mud (Bentonite) systems for on shore wells and carried out lab tests to check mud quality and design the treatments and attended cementation and cement squeeze jobs. ESSAR Oil Ltd-Oman: 1. Rig site duties at North Oman on 24 hours basis to look after the complete drilling fluids handling and drilled deep gas wells using Bentonite mud system for all three sections drilled vertically with high H2S presence and encountered high gellation (progressive gels), high pumping pressures and no circulation situations. 2. Faced bicarbonate contamination during drilling at several zones. Controlled by increasing pH with Caustic Soda and treating with Lime. Caustic pills were used to clear bit balling. XCD Polymer mud was used to drill multi lateral (bare foot completion) shallow wells in Fahud area and handled water kicks. Attended Acid jobs in pay zones. ONGC Ltd-India (Assam & Bombay offshore): 1) Attended rig site duties as a shift chemist and looked after the mud

preparation and maintenance for on shore Exploratory wells. In one well tried CL-CLS system to combat shale problems. Several hole problems like total loss in Fractured Basement, stuck pipe, heaving shale, high solids were faced and prepared weighted muds to control water kicks. 2) Worked in offshore rigs in Bombay offshore, looked after mud preparation and maintenance for developmental wells and work over operations in ONGC rigs and prepared Milling fluids for window cutting 3

(Bentonite mud) and severe mud loss situations were controlled with LCM pills (CaCO3 with XCD combinations). KCl Polymer mud was used in combination with PHB to drill shale sections (6 to 7 % KCl). 3) QUALITY CONTROL OFFICER (Oil/Gas/Injection water) on Production Platforms. Carried out testing of oil, gas and water on production platforms and water content, pour point, BS & W, density, water phase salinity (in oil where no free water), High H2S gas etc. Water testing was done from coarse filters to the final pumping point on Water Injection platforms. Different parameters- Millipore, residual sulphite, particle count, SRB and GRB were determined on daily basis to check the quality of water before injection. Attended the Commissioning of SHW water Injection platform (72 hours water quality check) before taking. Handled water injection chemicals- Coagulant, Defoamer, Oxygen Scavenger, Corrosion Inhibitor, and Scale Inhibitors and used lab equipment. Short Hitches: (Short hitches were done in the following locations when there was Rig move, production testing in Papua New Guinea. When drilling resumed I went back to PNG)

1) Rheochem Australia for Santos: Worked for 21 days at Cooper Basin in Australia and handled KCl/Polymer and gel mud. 2) Reliance Industries (India): Worked as Drilling Fluids Supervisor on behalf of Drilling Operator (RIL) in deep waters exploration well in Kakinada Offshore-Bay of Bengal (India) and Supervised MI mud engineering services in maintaining mud parameters and chemical management and attended two wells (exploration) in deepwater (water depth 1943 m) by Transocean rig (Deepwater Frontier) and used Synthetic Oil Based Mud (SOBM) system for these HPHT wells. 3) ASAP Fluids for Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation: Drilled one well in Gujarat offshore for GSPC and used KCl/Polymer mud and successfully cased the hole and went for production testing. 4) Gas Authority of India Ltd: Worked as Mud Supervisor in India and monitored Drilling Fluids management for onshore wells and supervised Lead and second Mud Engineers from Q’max solutions, a Canadian Drilling Fluids Company and dealing with Salt Saturated Mud system. 5) Duty in Iraq: Worked as Lead Drilling Fluids Engineer for Halliburton in Iraq and looked after Mud Management from Nov 2011 to Jan 2012. 6) Baker Hughes: worked for one hitch for Cairn Energy (India) at Nagayalanka in AP and prepared 2000 bbl of SOBM for a re-entry well.
