Drumlin formation: a mystery or not?
GFF A Scandinavian Journal of Earth Sciences BACKGROUND Drumlins have captivated the attention of geologists and geographers for over 100 years. Still, their genesis is hotly contested. But are they really so mysterious? Drumlins have been suggested to form by deposition, erosion or deformation (or combinations of these) by glacial ice (or even by subglacial water). This issue of GFF is devoted to providing a current status report on the genesis of drumlins. We welcome research and review papers.
