Parent and Student Online Safety Night Reminder All EGRPS Families Welcome to Attend Purpose:
East Grand Rapids Public Schools will provide an opportunity for parents and students to learn about the best practices for keeping students safe online. The format of the sessions will begin with short presentations and also allow time for discussion. Attendees will be able to choose from two of the three topics offered: Session 1 - Teen Texting of Personal & Private Messages presented by Jeanne Glowicki, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, and Anthony Morey, Wealthy Elementary Principal Session 2 - Understanding and Managing Student Social Networking presented by Peter Stuursma, EGRMS Principal, and William Behrendt, EGRMS Assistant Principal Session 3 -The use of Internet filters at Home and at School presented by Douglas Jenkins, Director of Technology and Assessment, and Jeff Crawford, Manager of Networking and Security
