Introduction What are ECDL Advanced Qualifications? The European Computer Driving Licence Advanced qualifications are recognised individually or together as a larger qualification demonstrating the application of a specific range of IT user skills and knowledge in the workplace, helping to meet today’s employment demands.
You can obtain a standalone qualification in any of the four ECDL Advanced units: • Word Processing • Spreadsheet software • Presentation software • Database software
Complete all of the above four areas and receive the Expert Certificate from the British Computer Society (BCS) free of charge.
How Will I Be Accessed? Each ECDL Advanced qualification is assessed by a one-hour exam using a BCS approved online provider, i.e. EnlightKS. This automated test system will give you instant results. The pass mark is 75% or more to achieve the qualification.

Located in the new £55m state-of-the art Engineering & Computing building and equipped with high quality training facilities, the Test Centre serves hundreds of new ECDL learners each year with qualified and experienced staff.

Training Routes and Materials Fast Track One Day Course (£220/£200 for Alumni)
You will be expected to work through the course materials four weeks prior to attending your training day (see step in the following page). The online practice test () and other additional exercises () will be dealt with and clarified by experienced ECDL staff on your training day. Take your exam on the day (). 09.00–09.30

Self Study At Your Own Pace (£220/£200 for Alumni)
You will be expected to work through the course materials prior to attending your testing day (). This includes tutorial support by experienced ECDL staff. The cost includes the exam which you can book when you are ready by contacting the ECDL team. Book and take your exam ().
Exam Only
You will pay £60.00 exam which entitles you to a registration with the British Computer Society and that will be emailed to you along with a pre-online revision paper and access to a pre-online practice test which you will be expected to complete prior to attending your exam (). Take your exam ().
Resit
You will have to pay £35.00 which entitles you one online practice test attempt to retake your resit exam ().
