AFRICA: NEW TRENDS IN WORLD INVESTMENTS Dr. Salah Gacim
International Slavic University, Ukraine Africa is a well-known treasure trove of resources but for many years it scared off global investors. The situation changed at the moment as the continent became home to some of the world’s fastest-growing economics and offers the highest risk-adjusted returns on foreign direct investment among emerging economies [1]. This has caused African economies to begin attracting the interest of several major banks and corporations. Africa’s share of global foreign direct investments (FDI) has increased from 3.2% in 2007 to 5.6% in 20 12 [2]. A new trend in world investments in Africa is related to growing activity of investors from emerging economies. Now the continent is attractive not only for companies from developed countries, which have a large post-colonial experience in economic relations with Africa. The US and Europe continue to account for almost 80% of FDI Africa, but Asia’s contribution expanded significantly between in 1995 and 2008 [1]. African continent is a top interest for China and India, as well as Brazil, Turkey and other emerging counties. The field of investment is growing, it is not only natural resources as it used to be some year ago. New investments are poured into such sectors as telecom, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and tourism. 48
Investment perspectives are wide for Africa. Despite the impact ol the economic ciisis, African economy has grown more than three times compared to 2000. The regional economy is projected to rise by 4% in 2013 and by 4.6% in 2014 [2]. References:

INVESTMENT CLIMATE IN UKRAINE: WAYS TO IMPROVE Prof. Dr. Natalia Pavliha, Maryna Luhova
Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University, Ukraine
Foreign investment has been one of the most important factors of socio-economic growth of the country. In Ukraine, the creation of a favorable investment climate is extremely important. The investment climate of a state is a combination of political, legal, economic and social conditions that ensure and promote the investment activity of domestic and foreign investors [l,p. 23]. Ukraine has a great investment potential, expressed in the presence of cheap labor, mineral resources, sales market and other important factors. However, investment risk, due to economic and political instability in the country, prevents attracting the necessary funds into the economy. Ukraine, in terms of investment attractiveness, is on the 120-150 spot in the world, depending on the rating. The main directions of improving the investment climate in Ukraine are: development of investment infrastructure, favorable 49
