ECOR FAQ Q. I have enabled the covert settings but why can I still see the cameras after exiting the menu? A. The DVR is still in the logged in under the Admin level. Please log out. Q. How do I rearrange camera positions in a multiscreen view? A. Set the display on the desired multiscreen view. Highlight the camera position to be changed. Press the enter button using the IR Remote or Front Panel only. A camera selector window will pop up and in it is a drop down menu for all cameras. Choose a desired camera and set it to live. Choose the OK option. Q. Why is the IR remote not working anymore? A. The IR remote controller is capable of controlling up to four different DVRs. All DVRs are set to an ID of 1. Press the number 1 ID button on the top of the remote and you will be able to control the DVR. Q. How do I start recording? A. The DVR will start recording once it is powered up and loaded. There will be a red recording icon next to each camera title to indicate recording. Q. Can I play the archived video on a DVD from the DVR? A. The archived video is in a proprietary .ARY file format and it must be played on the ePlayer.exe program on a PC. The ePlayer.exe application can be downloaded from the copy menu in the DVR. Q. Can I view the DVR remotely using Firefox or Safari? A. The DVR requires Internet Explorer version 6 and above because the web interface operates with ActiveX. Q. What types of discs can be used during archiving? A. DVD+RW, DVD-R, and CD-R have been confirmed to work. Q. Can I copy multiple files on the same disc when archiving? A. No, each time a disc is loaded into the DVR it is automatically formatted. Multiple files can be downloaded onto a USB flash drive. Q. What ports need to be forwarded on the router to be able to view remotely? A. The default ports are http port 80 and control port 1600. Q. How do I setup motion only record? A. Under the Camera menu in Basic Setting, set Record Mode to Event for all cameras. Under Camera menu in Motion, check Enable and set the Sensitivity and motion Grid. Exit the menu and restart the DVR.

Q. Can the VGA & BNC main monitor ports display different views? A. Both main monitor ports will have the same output. Q. Can the DVR be viewed on a mobile phone? A. We do not test that application. The only requirements for viewing the DVRs is a high speed internet, Internet Explorer version 6 and up, 64MB minimum video card memory, current DirectX and 1024x768 resolution with a 32bit color settings. Q. How many users can be logged in simultaneously? A. Up to 4 users can be logged in to any user name simultaneously.
