Scope of the Offline Course Learning Objectives: The course is structured around a general curriculum with the aim being to furnish the trainees with a broad understanding of the EIVA NaviSuite offline software solutions and make them confident in using these software solutions in post-processing situations. To enhance trainee competence and confidence, a wide range of typical hydrographic survey data, acquired using the EIVA NaviSuite online software solutions, are used to exemplify typical postprocessing scenarios. For the most part, the course is conducted as hands-on training. By the end of the course, trainees will be able to: Install the relevant NaviSuite software solutions Understand the basic architecture of NaviEdit, NaviModel and NaviPlot Conduct editing of multi-beam and single beam data in a NaviEdit/NaviModel environment Conduct a patch test calibration in NaviModel/NaviEdit Use the S-CAN automatic cleaning tool Use the various DTM tools in NaviModel Conduct volume and area calculations in NaviModel Understand the concept of video integration in NaviModel Export data from NaviModel using generic as well as built-in tools Create simple plots in NaviPlot Create plot series in NaviPlot using the Chart Layout Manager Target Group: The course is aimed towards surveyors who have some experience with offshore survey work and basic knowledge of post-processing. Entry Level: No prior knowledge of the EIVA software solutions is required. The language of instructions is English. Duration: The duration of the course is four days, from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M., including breaks. Completion: Upon completion, a dedicated EIVA Training Certificate will be issued.

Download & Knowledgebase The EIVA Download site gives users the possibility to download latest versions and patches of the various software packages. A user can sign up for login access and can subsequently receive an e-mail notification when releases occur on the various folders.
In the Knowledgebase, FAQ from the EIVA user community, are listed and organized relative subjective items like: software package, popularity, age (latest addition) etc. Users are also given the opportunity to submit a question that will then be upgraded and included in the knowledgebase.
Training & Documentation Site The Training & Documentation site contains all documentation and training material associated with the EIVA Softand Hardware. It should therefore be installed whenever installing the EIVA software (is not a requirement for the proper functioning of the associated software. The documentation includes all on-line help, manuals, powerpoints, reports, papers, training documents available for the EIVA software packages as well as for the EIVA hardware. The site is designed to be executed in off-line mode (with no connection to the Internet), however some of the items will only provide optimum functionality if an Internet connection has been established. Observe that the site can also be reached at the EIVA Website http://download.eiva.dk/onlinetraining/index.htm
Training & Documentation Site II The Training & Documentation site is subdivided into subpages that relate to the different modules that constitute EIVA NaviSuite. The Offline packages have three subpages, related to: •
NaviEdit
•
NaviModel (shown here)
•
NaviPlot.

Patch Testing – in NaviModel/Online3D Patch Testing can be performed in NaviModel and in the Online3D application. In the latter case, no dongle is required.
Patch Test – Purpose of the Calibration A multibeam Patch Test calibration serves a dual purpose: a.
b.
To determine the mount angles of the multibeam transducer relative to the three axes of the local coordinate system of the vessel/ROV. These three figures are often referred to as the roll-, pitch- and heading mount angles. To confirm the relationship between the time-tagging on the multibeam data and the time-tagging on the position data. This figure is often referred to as the latency or as the time value.
