Employment Opportunity Environmental Services Administrator (Excluded – continuing position to commence as soon as possible) Reporting to the Director of Facilities Management, the successful candidate will: plan, organize and direct the development, administration and coordination of programs and operations pertaining to custodial services, landscaping and maintenance of the grounds at Holland College facilities in the eastern zone; ensure custodial service level standards are followed; supervision of staff including hiring, orientation, coaching, training and disciplinary functions of staff; assist in the budgeting process and manage the procurement, maintenance and consumption of relevant equipment and supplies; govern and ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and act as a resource person for staff, students and the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees and Representatives regarding health and safety issues; develop and maintain a security program to protect College resources, personnel and students; and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will hold, or be working towards, a diploma or trade credential in a discipline related to building maintenance OR a Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP) credential and possess a minimum of three years recent relevant experience in a supervisory role. This experience should include preparing and maintaining budgets as well as a strong working knowledge of building maintenance systems. Certification in the following areas is also required; Occupational Health and Safety Management programming, Accident Investigation, Mould and Asbestos Awareness, Emergency Response Planning and Workplace Inspection Training. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience in the above stated areas may be considered. Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and computer skills are essential to the position.
