Position Overview: As a Senior Consultant, you will be a contributing member of the firm’s senior management. A primary role for this position will be your contribution to the workforce development division, with opportunities to share your expertise across all business lines. You bring a strong understanding of workforce development and labour market planning. Under the general direction of the Executive VP for Workforce Development, you will support business development and the creation and delivery of a broad mix of workforce development strategies. The successful candidate will contribute to client-driven projects that require creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving efforts, leading to a high-quality end product that aligns with project scope and objectives. Specifically, you will support project team members in original research and synthesize findings that can add value. Your ability to confidently conduct error-free data management and analysis tasks (using Beyond 20/20, MS Excel and other platforms) and the ability to access and manipulate data from multiple sources is required. You demonstrate a strong aptitude for written communication and grammatical proficiency, so that completed work maintains the high standards of the firm. Senior Consultants must be comfortable and confident in communicating directly with team members, clients, sub-consultants and project stakeholders. Community and stakeholder engagement through design and delivery of focus groups, interviews and surveys will be an integral element in most projects. Your ability to deliver presentations and facilitate small to large groups will be important. You will ensure timely delivery through strong project management and team management. You will

demonstrate thought leadership as a common element in your performance and approach. This position requires travel, a valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable car.

Background/Training: As the ideal candidate, you have a combination of the following:

5+ years work experience with a demonstrated record of achievement and impact Direct experience in workforce development planning, research, and strategy Experience in economic development and its related disciplines is a strong asset An undergraduate degree in a related area; or masters is an asset
