English Learners Network Presented by Olmsted Falls City Schools
To support teachers and administrators working with students identified as English Learners, Olmsted Falls City Schools will host tri-annual network meetings open to educators throughout the greater Cleveland area. Educators will come together for a series of one-day workshops to share best practices for instructional approaches to serve the English Learner (EL) population. Under the leadership of experts in the field serving as facilitators, attendees will have the ability to share ideas and receive support from others. Compliance tasks of identification, assessment and evaluation will also be addressed. Network meeting dates for the 2018-2019 school year have been scheduled for:
Tuesday, September 25, 2018 Tuesday, January 15, 2019 Tuesday, March 19, 2019 Specific topics and facilitators will be determined in advance with input from attendees. Meetings will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Olmsted Falls Intermediate School 7043 Bagley Road, Olmsted Falls, OH 44138 Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Registration fee for participation in the 2018-2019 English Learners Network is $40.00 per person. (Fee covers cost of meals and facilitator expense for all three meetings.)
