Topic - Flying Frogs and the Economy: How to Plan for the Future in a World of Economic Uncertainty The national economy is recovering from “The Great Recession,” but the degree of uncertainty around long-term economic trends is arguably higher than it has ever been. This presentation addresses key economic trends to watch and delves into the implications of uncertainty on long-term business planning. Richard Lynch is the Manager of Sales Forecasting for Entergy, a large electric and gas distribution utility serving the mid-south. In this role, Richard is responsible for preparation of long-term energy forecasts, monthly variance reports, weather normalization analyses and economic trend reports. Richard has been with Entergy for over 12 years, the past eight in his current role. Prior to coming to Entergy, Richard provided financial analyses and business planning for companies in the environmental and financial services industries. He holds an MBA from the University of Maryland in College Park and a B.S. from Wright State University in Dayton Ohio. Entergy is headquartered in New Orleans, but Richard has worked out of its Woodlands, Texas office for the past five years.
