EXPLORE YOUR OPTIONS IN ATHLETIC TRAINING

The Athletic Training Department at The College of St. Scholastica is among the best in the nation offering the only entry-level master’s program of its kind between Indiana and the Dakotas. Students may enter the program after their junior year through the 3 + 2 option or as a traditional post-baccalaureate student. Our new state-of-the-art facilities, dedicated and experienced faculty, and numerous clinical placement opportunities make St. Scholastica a great place to launch a career in athletic training. Join us for our 2011-2012 Athletic Training Workshop and Information Sessions to explore your future in athletic training at The College of St. Scholastica.

This workshop is designed to offer an introductory athletic training experience for high school and college students who are interested in exploring a career in athletic training/sports medicine. Presented by BOC certified athletic trainers, the workshop will include an overview of the master’s program, a panel discussion and hands-on instruction. Basic athletic training techniques, such as the following will be covered: • Spine boarding • Dynamic flexibility • Taping and wrapping procedures • Balance and vibration therapies Workshop highlights: • Tour our top-notch facilities at the Burns Wellness Center

• Experience classroom and laboratory instruction by BOC certified athletic trainers • Learn about career opportunities in athletic training

How to dress: Please bring a change of shoes and wear comfortable athletic clothing. Please avoid jeans and other tight-fitting clothing. Workshop registration includes: T-shirt, lunch and course materials. Door prizes will also be awarded. Confirmation: We will send a confirmation letter in early November along with pertinent workshop information. Cost: There is no cost for the workshop.
