11-I 0KV TIRANSMlISSION LINE: IMPACT

CONINIENTS (Commnent on scale and level of impact)

POTENTIAL IMPACT YES

NO

Construction Effects on vegetation areas as a result of clearing for ROW, sub-station or access roads.

X

A little impacts -

-

No tree cutting because the T/L traverses crops and rice fields The construction works will be started after harvest Vegetation affected is mainly grasses and the during crops short-time some construction and conductor lying. Dai An substation is located inside Dai An Industrial Zone, so no tree need to be cut Crops that will be cut wvithin ROW are only fruit trees or planted trees in gardens of 6 |houselholds

Effects on residential areas in terms of noise and dust.

X

A Litle or Minor impacts: - Some noise from vehicles and equipment shall affect the places where is next to the project - The nearest population area is 700m far from the substationi. the substation is 600m far from National Road No.5, there is already certain level of noise and dust caused by transportation in this road. The additional noise and dust caused by the Project is not considerable due to distance to the nearest population sites w'ill be not affect residential area. - 110kV line is oniv 8km long and mainly crosses the rice field or agricultural land (other dry crop and polld. river etc). Noise and dust occurring at constructioll sites will not affect residential area. - Constl-uctioll activities are carrying out in daily time only. No activities are carryilng out in daily time onl. No activities will carry out in evening or night tiniie.

Erosioni or sediment generation caused by earthwvorks. Effect of that will be surface water contamination (in terms of

X

increased turbiditv)

Mlediium and Mitig-able impacts -Quantity of soil excavated : 20.000 m3 (estimated for pole foundation) - Estinated amount of stones needed for substation leveling is 435m3. amoult of sand is I1.673m3 - Excavated soil of tower founidations shall be used to embar-k surrounding thcse foudations and the quantity of the redulidant soil is very little. - No serious erosion and sedimentation can happen

lbecause the T L mainly crosses the flat areas such as crops, rice Fields ... - The construction site (substation) is near Sat river,

110135122kl" Doi Anl Substltion - Hai Dtiomg proi'imice E,iiiilo,i,nienrtMcAInnngemiemirt PI/,n (EMP)

7

the TL crosses a pond (G4 point), Ty river (Branch of Sat river), rice field ... there is a potential of sedimentation of the river due to earth excavated for pole foundation or substation leveling. But no excavation will be planned to avoid rainy season so soil erosion and sedimentation can be considerably reduced.

Effects on cultural and historical

Medium and Mitigable impacts in construction stage: Quantity of the materials and equipment transported to constructioni site is estimated 435m3 of stone, II .673m3 of sand - These amoulIts of construction material will be transported to the substationi by the National Road No.5. The transportation in the Road is already quite intensive. so additional work for the substation is not considerable. Duration of substation ground leveling is quite short (fi-om 2 to 3 months). - Duration of excavated construction of pole foundationi for each pole wvill last within 2 or 3 weeks. Pole foundationi is mainly located on agricultural land. Residential area is far (usually 500m. 700m or evein higher from the construction site) so air quality will not be effected seriously in residential area. lie vehicles and equipment used for the project shall be required to meet the Technical Standards - Construction activities shall be implemented by manual and semi-manual.

X

Effects on air quality fi-om vehicle and equipment exhausts and dust generated by construction activities

No impact

_

The project does not traverse any cultural heritage. architectural structuLe and house. However, during conistr-uctioni. excaNation of' earth, if any valuable cullulal ot' historical heritage is occurred, the Project o i%ncr and consriUctor xviil immediately inform to local cultural and infiorinationi Department for further consideration. -
