Qualifications a.
Character and Background 1) In accordance with our Constitution must be a Elder qualified man of high character (1 Timothy 3:1-‐10) 2) Have a Bible education – Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies, Theology or Youth Ministry preferred 3) Experience working in ministry, particularly with Youth and the Teaching of the Word 4) Ability to work with others

Skills and Abilities 1) Ability to effectively teach, specifically of the Word 2) Ability to organize & plan ministry programs, events & trips 3) Ability to plan & lead worship 4) Ability to train & lead volunteers 5) Ability to communicate with parents & church leadership
Responsibilities a.
Direct the Youth Ministry 1) Provide direction, vision and motivation for Youth Ministry 2) Build relationships with youth 3) Plan weekly Senior High meeting a. Develop curriculum b. Serve as primary teacher c. Plan and Organize activities 4) Plan weekly Junior High meeting a. Develop curriculum b. Serve as primary teacher c. Plan and Organize activities 5) Develop Lay Leadership for Youth Ministry 6) Plan retreats and mission trips

Be involved with Sunday Morning Worship 1) Lead or be involved at the 2nd campus regularly (probably twice a month)

ACCOUNTABILITY AND RELATIONSHIPS:
Lead or be involved at the main campus when not at the 2nd campus 3) Assist the Worship Pastor in the planning and preparation of services Other Ministries Duties 1) May include occasional preaching, participation in Baptism, visitation, and other Pastoral duties.
1. Senior Pastor: The Youth Pastor will remain accountable to the Senior Pastor for his specific responsibilities, goals, objectives, and job performance. ♦ The Senior Pastor will engage in a regular dialogue with the Youth Pastor in order to provide feedback, discuss problems, and identify needs within his realm of ministry. ♦ The Senior Pastor will also employ an annual evaluation tool, approved by the Church Life Committee, in order to report to the Elder Board regarding his supervision and evaluation of Youth Pastor. 2. Elders: Following our Church constitution, as a member of the pastoral staff, the Youth Pastor will be Elder-‐qualified, though not as a serving Elder, with mutual accountability among the Elders. 3. C.E.: The Youth Pastor will serve as a member of the Christian Education ministry, attending regular meetings and/or communicating with the Chair as necessary to fulfill his duties and to maintain communication and continuity of ministry. 4. (OPTIONAL) YAC – Youth Advisory Council: The Youth Pastor will, with the Senior Pastor, identify and recruit an adequate number of willing youth workers and/or parents to assist in the details of advance planning for youth activities and to serve as a sounding board for youth ministry planning. 5. Staff: The Youth Pastor will regularly take part in office and pastoral staff activities, meetings, prayer, etc., as agreed upon by the staff and directed by the Senior Pastor.
