Event Coordinator HiiL, an advisory and research institute for the justice sector based in The Hague, is looking for a proactive young professional to join HiiL as an Event Coordinator: Is event and project management your passion? Are you interested in contributing to the organisation’s smooth run by being an active member of the Operations and Support Team? Are you able to prove that you are client and service oriented? Then join us as an Event Coordinator! You will be working on: Organising and managing numerous small meetings (4-10 participants), around 3 medium (up to 40 participants) and up to 2 larger events (up to 200 people) with high level people. Setting up and keeping relevant event and project budgets up-to-date. Providing project management assistance and operations support. Processing financial information, invoices and reimbursements. Maintaining and continuously improving the Justice Innovation Lab space. Your profile: Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Business, (Hotel) Management or equivalent. Up to 2 years of progressive working experience in event management; project management experience is a plus. Up to 2 years of progressive working experience in developing and maintaining budgets; financial administration experience is a plus. Proven experience in working with excel. rd Proven experience in working with 3 parties (caterers, contractors, etc.). Fluent proficiency in English and Dutch and preferably any other major world language (e.g. Spanish, French, Arabic). Your core competencies, skills and approach: Strong client, service and result orientation. Strong hands-on mentality. Excellent communication, both verbally and in writing. Strongly developed interpersonal skills. The ability to promptly adjust to different contexts. Will to work irregular hours when needed. The ability to work independently and within a team. Coaching and support by the supervisor and colleagues. Financial remuneration of gross per month (scale 8, CAO WVOI), €2.285 - €2.512 depending on the candidate’s profile).
