FACILITIES MANAGER OF M. O. CAMPBELL EDUCATIONAL CENTER A. QUALIFICATIONS: The Facilities Manager of M.O. Campbell Educational Center must hold at least a high school diploma, a high school equivalency certificate, or a degree and have experience in building management or experience in a related area. B. APPOINTMENT: The Board of Trustees shall appoint the Facilities Manager of M.O. Campbell Educational Center upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools for a term of not more than two (2) years, and the contract will be considered for extension at the regular February meeting each year. C. REPORTS TO: The Facilities Manager of M.O. Campbell Educational Center shall be responsible to the Director of Athletics for the performance of all duties. D. SUPERVISES: The Facilities Manager of M.O. Campbell Educational Center shall supervise the employees involved in the maintenance and operation of M.O. Campbell Educational Center. E. JOB PERFORMANCE STATEMENTS: 1. Instructional Management a. Ensures that the operation of Campbell Center provides a supportive environment for the achievement of the instructional goals and objectives of the district. 2. School Climate a. Demonstrates the ability to work with others in a positive, productive way. b. Is prompt and thorough in completing assignments, while attending to details accurately and efficiently. 3. School Improvement a. Systematically monitors the effectiveness of building policies and procedures. b. Develops long range plans for effective building management. c. Responsible for quality control of equipment installation, repairs, and maintenance. 2068

d. Schedule preventative maintenance for event equipment on a regular and timely basis. 4. Personnel Management a. Coordinates and schedules building personnel for efficient use of time and materials. b. Coordinates with building users and the food service department when service is needed. 5. Administration and Fiscal/Facilities Management a. Responsible for recommendations to the Director of Athletics for budget preparations and financial operation procedures for the building. b. Responsible for building equipment and supplies inventory and depreciation. c. Maintains a working knowledge of district activities so that professional and technical advice may be given when needed. d. Requisitions equipment and supplies in accordance with school district policy. e. Acts in the absence of the building administrator. f. Maintains the physical properties of the complex. g. Assists in negotiations of rental contracts for the complex. h. Prepares, conducts, and supervises all activities in the complex as assigned by the building administrator. i. Assists in implementing the district’s energy management policy. j. Assists in developing an integrated pest management system. k. Assists in maintaining hazardous communication regulation requirements. 6. Student Management a. Demonstrates support for the student management system and appropriate student behavior. 7. School/Community Relations a. Articulates the district’s mission to the community and solicits their support in making the mission a reality. 2068-1

b. Demonstrates awareness of school/community needs and initiates activities to meet those identified needs. c. Emphasizes and nurtures two-way communication between the school district and community. d. Projects a positive image to the community. 8. Professional Growth and Development a. Uses information provided through assessment instruments, the district appraisal process, and evaluative feedback from supervisors to improve performance. b. Strives to improve leadership skills through self-initiated professional development activities. c. Utilizes information and insights gained in professional development programs for self-improvement. d. Disseminates ideas and information to other professionals. e. Conducts oneself in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner. 9. Other a. Assumes other duties as may be assigned by the Deputy Superintendent and the Director of Athletics. F. EVALUATION: 1. The job performance statements shall constitute the criteria for an evaluation form with an evaluation code as follows: N/A

2. The evaluation form shall contain a place for comments and general observations made by the evaluating person. These comments shall constitute additional criteria for evaluation. 3. The Facilities Manager of M.O. Campbell Educational Center’s evaluation is a responsibility resting with the Director of Athletics. An evaluation shall be completed in writing at least once during the course of the school year. 4. The Director of Athletics shall submit to the Superintendent of Schools or the staff person designated by the Superintendent of Schools, the completed evaluation of the Facilities Manager for M.O. Campbell Educational Center at the time stipulated by the Superintendent of Schools. 5.

Administrators will be appraised according to the following calendar: Action Plan and Goal Setting Conference

G. SALARY: The salary of the Facilities Manager of M. O. Campbell Educational Center shall be based on the schedule adopted by the Board of Trustees for this position.
