Swedish Reward your learners with Swedish qualifications from Oxford Cambridge RSA Asset Languages The Asset Languages story so far… OCR Asset Languages is a unique assessment scheme to support language teaching in 25 languages from primary to secondary and through to adult education. Asset has attracted around 2000 schools and colleges and is the main alternative language qualification in state secondary schools. What is available in Swedish? Externally assessed qualifications in all skills at Breakthrough, Preliminary and Intermediate stages. Breakthrough Stage Teacher Assessment Pack, containing training, activities and templates.
What do the different kinds of assessment offer my learners? There are two types, informal teacher assessment or formal external assessment: The two forms of assessment complement each other but are completely separate. You can use external assessment, teacher assessment or a mix of both, to give your learners credit for what they can do. Why use Asset’s teacher assessment? If you are looking for something informal, our Teacher Assessment Pack provides graded tasks for you to do with your learners in the classroom when convenient. There is also the option of buying graded award certificates to celebrate your learners’ success in these tasks. Why use Asset’s external assessment? Short external assessments can be used to reward learners following any programme of study. Asset qualifications in the four skills of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, are awarded separately. Learners can be entered for just one stage and skill, for example, just Swedish Breakthrough Speaking, or, up to four skills, each at the appropriate stage. All of our tests are available in four testing opportunities throughout the year. Teachers teach what they want, at the right pace for their learners. Learners enter when they’re ready, for the skills they’re ready for.

Are the qualifications recognised? Asset external assessments lead to nationally recognised OCR qualifications accredited by the main regulatory authorities. Preliminary and Intermediate external assessments contribute towards the achievement and attainment points of the school.
