The attraction of ‘Gravity’ is losing its grasp on people’s attention as ‘Catching Fire’ is bursting into theaters on November 22. The games are aback on. Seeing Katniss, Peeta, and Gale again has ignited the fans’ passion-filled burning embers for the ‘Hunger Games.’ “The ‘Hunger Games’ is about teenagers who go to an arena and fight to the death. Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellarck from District 12 are picked to go. In the beginning, Katniss has trouble trusting Peeta, but by the end, she is willing to risk her life for him. The arena changes every year so they have no idea what they are walking into. When the battle starts, it’s pretty much fight or flight. They can either stay there and fight for weapons and food, or they can run away and find shelter. The last person alive gets riches and food for their district,” Fossil Ridge High School sophomore Sabrina Gonzalez said. Even the devoted fans who have read ‘Catching Fire’ and know the fierce ending, are anticipating the blazing explosion coming to theaters. “In ‘Catching Fire’, there is going to be another battle, only this is going to be even bigger than before. It is so intense that it only happens every 25 years. This is known as the Quarter Quell. In the book, ‘Catching Fire’ follows Katniss and Peeta once again in battle, along with the ‘Hunger

Games’ victors of previous years,” junior Sarah Ahrens said. While most know what is to come, some are waiting to share the warmth of their friends that is ignited in ‘Catching Fire.’ “I am so excited about ‘Catching Fire’ coming to theaters. I love Liam Hemsworth, and the fact that I have not read the books makes it even more exciting because I don’t know what is going to happen,” sophomore Emily Brown said. ‘Catching Fire’ spreads to people of all ages. Its beautiful, bright glow attracts families to feel the warmth together. “I am excited. I really like the series. I have read all of the books, and I think that the movies will be just as good. My husband and I are going to take all of my kids to go see it for a family fun time,” English teacher Mrs. Marks said. Many fans are making the fiery transition between the two hot movies, and cannot wait to finally catch the fire. The ‘Hunger Games’ is so suspenseful. The second it starts you’re immediately wrapped into the story, which is why I can’t even describe the intensity of excitement I have for ‘Catching Fire,’” junior Kaitlyn Holst said.

Kaitlyn Holst’s imagination flares as she reads ‘Catching Fire’.
