Documents You must use an Expanded International Air Waybill to ship Dangerous Goods, and you must also complete the Shipper’s Declaration and join 3 originals (you cannot use manual form, it must be typed or printed). Dry Ice • If Dry Ice is used to refrigerate Dangerous Goods: - Tick ‘yes’ on AWB for containing Dangerous Goods - Shipper’s Declaration required - Dangerous Goods surcharge applies • If Dry Ice is used to refrigerate non-Dangerous Goods: - Tick ‘yes’ on AWB for containing Dangerous Goods - Shipper’s Declaration not required - Dangerous Goods surcharge does not apply Packaging You are responsible for the packaging, labelling and documentation of your Dangerous Goods shipments, which must comply with IATA regulations. The following information must be provided: - UN-number (identification number of Dangerous Goods) - Proper shipping name - Hazard label - Name and address of shipper and consignee FedEx packaging is not suitable for Dangerous Goods. - Dry Ice packages also need to show the net weight of Dry Ice in kilos. - It is required by IATA regulation that every Dangerous Goods shipper has followed the required Dangerous Goods training in order to be able to pack their Dangerous Goods shipments properly.
