Area surrounding restaurant, motel, and other buildings located along U.S. Highway 1 (24.922917° N, 80.630333° W). 7 January 2006. Herpetol. Rev. 33:322; Campbell and Klowden. 2003 Herpetol. Rev. 34:384; Meshaka et al. 2004. The Exotic Amphibians and Reptiles of Florida. Krieger Publ. Biodeterioration and Biodegradation 54:261-264; Krysko et al. op. cit; Meshaka et al. 2005. Southeastern Natural. 4:521-526) and of a species that is likely to spread extensively on the keys in light of the open rocky habitat, subtropical climate, and proximity to a main road. WALTER E.
