You will have already been notified by email of your umpire duties but if not sure Click here to check. (if not up please check back). Local Rules for RHA can also be viewed here. NB. you require your own whistle (Fox40 Pea less) and an umpire shirt., these items are available to purchase from the shed; whistles $15 each and umpire shirt $35 each.

Junior and Senior Presentation Junior presentation will be held on Sunday the 3rd of September at HZP. Further information is contained in this newsletter. Senior Presentation will be held at he Cricket Club at HZP on Saturday the 9th of September. Further information will be distributed in the near future.

Trophies There are still a number of Perpetual Trophies that have not yet been returned. If you have one n your possession please drop it to the canteen this Saturday.

End of season Raffle Thank you J1 Gold team, you are on roster this Saturday. Please arrive early to help setup and help out in the canteen. See your team manager for details.

There is a swag of prizes up for grabs in the end of year raffle including, a signed Jamie Dwyer shirt, signed Louise Dobson 1996 Atlanta photo, Hockey Stick and Bag, meat voucher, swimming lessons and many more. Each family will be asked to sell a book of tickets. Tickets cost $2 each or 3 for $5 and will be drawn at the junior presentation.

Dogs A reminder that dogs are not permitted at the hockey fields. We ask that everyone follows this RHA rule to ensure the health and safety of all. In the past a child was bitten. We appreciate dogs are different but we have 1 rule for everyone.

J1 Green it is your turn to help out with setting up and in the canteen. Setting up includes putting out rubbish bins, setting up tables, chairs, gazebos, filling ice bags and whatever else is required. Canteen duties include making sandwiches, BBQ, serving and whatever Stacey asks. Please make an effort to assist remember many hands make lighter work.

Junior Presentation As you know, this is the Redlands Hockey Association’s 10th year. To celebrate this achievement, we have decided to do something different. We will be combining a Celebration and Break-up Carnival on fields 3 and 4 with Presentations on Sunday the 3rd of September. Presentations will run from 9am to 11.30am. The Celebration and Break Up Carnival will commence at 11.30am and conclude and 2.30pm. Carnival Rides & Activities will include: •

Tropical Island Jumping Castle

Bubble Soccer

Face painting

Batton Hockey

Nibbles & Drinks If you have EXTRA Children who are non RHA players, and would like to join in the celebrations with their brothers, sisters or friends, we have Ride Bands and Food Tickets available for purchase.

NB: Purchase is only required for non RHA persons. All registered RHA Juniors are given Ride Bands and Food tickets on behalf of the Association. RIDE BANDS & Tickets available Saturday the 2nd of September & Sunday the 3rd of September. Please see Nicki Riley at the Fundraising Tent from 9am to 1pm on the 2nd or at the gazebos after the presentation on the 3rd! Some short corners... lots of running. Great goal by Hunter. Very even game so far. Half time 0-1 to Thunder Another hat trick from Jay... 3 in a row in nearly as much as 3 minutes. Awesome work! Sporting Schools Our program at Victoria Point State School is underway! 60 students now getting the joy of learning how to play hockey!

Canteen Thank you to our wonderful J1 BLUE team who were all smiles as they helped out on Saturday. We had a full day with lots of our foods selling out once again! Don’t forget – you can come along any time and place an order to collect after you have played/ coached or umpired!!!





This Saturday our J1 GREEN will be volunteering! Also making a special comeback will be the Finals Cupcakes….come taste one of the yummy cakes – even tastier when its your favourite team colours! Women's and Mixed Competitions - Maximum 10 teams. Junior 1/2 Court – U9, U11, U13 - Maximum 16 teams Mixed Junior Full Court - U17 (see below) and Boys Full Court - U21 - Pending team nominations.




$10 per player registration fee


Seniors $660 per team; Junior Full field $540 per team; Junior half field $420 per team.


Game Fees to be paid in full by Friday 30 September 2017 + all individual registrations.



Team nominations submitted by a team manager will be accepted by email on a first in first served basis. Registrations close 17 September 2017. Each team must nominate a team manager.

The umpires will be paid $10.00 per game for full field and $7.00 per game for a half field. All payments will be made at the end of the season.


Umpire draw will be distributed weekly from the pool of nominated umpires.


Each team must supply a volunteer to sit on the tech bench as per draw to assist with scoring.

Registration Procedures 2017 Step 1 - The team manager must nominate your team via email to the committee. Email - [email protected] Step 2 - Once your team nomination has been accepted, each player will need to register their own details on our website. Team game fees will be charged to the team manager when they register. They will be responsible for dividing the fees

Step 3. - Individual players register to play in their team and pay their individual fees eg registration fee and insurance if needed.
