First INFORMS Security Conference Call for Proposals
Proposals are requested to organize the initial INFORMS Security Conference (ISC). The intent of the conference is to bring together researchers and practitioners to share advances and promote the development and use of operations research and analytics for ensuring security in governmental, industrial and personal activities. The proposal should be limited to three pages and broadly address the following: 1.
The conference chair forms the organizing committee and serves as the primary contact between conference organizers and INFORMS. a) Who will be the conference chair? (Provide affiliation and contact information) b) Who will be the program chair(s)? c) Who else will be involved in organizing the conference? What will be the committee structure? d) Is there support being offered by a local institution?

Describe the location of the conference. Conference details will be organized by the INFORMS staff. The intent here is do you see the conference, for example, downtown in a specific city or adjacent to or at a particular university.

Do you have a theme or focus concept?

What tracks or scope do you envision for the conference? It is expected that the program will include the breadth of security-related INFORMS activities in security including but not limited to critical infrastructure security and resilience, military OR, transportation security, border protection, network resilience, data security, emergency preparedness/disaster recovery, etc.

Do you have any special events/activities planned?

Please discuss your thinking regarding keynote speakers. Whom do you have in mind? What criteria led you to these individuals or topics?
7.
Please discuss any sponsorship and networking opportunities.
8.
When would you propose to host the conference, and are there any time constraints for your proposal? Current thinking is for a conference sometime in 2020, but this timing is flexible. (If proposing specific dates please check with the INFORMS staff and Conference Calendar for acceptability).
9.
Please provide any other information that you feel would be relevant to the Meetings Committee when evaluating the attractiveness of your proposal.
