Grande Lakes Outfitters is proud to present on-property Fly Fishing and Eco-Tours. Surrounded by the headwaters of the Everglades, Shingle Pond sits on the most remote section of Grande Lakes. This twelve acre pond running parallel with Shingle Creek is the home of Grande Lakes Outfitters on site Fly Fishing for Largemouth Bass. Two Hyde Drift Boats will float up to four guests over picturesque waters as Fishermen compete for their trophy sized catch with Southern Bald Eagles and Osprey. On land, guests may see Bobcats, Deer and Wild Turkey wondering the shoreline for a morning or afternoon snack. The center of Grande Lakes Outfitters operations is located at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Shop in our Orvis Fly Fishing Corner. Here anglers and guests can pick up the latest in Orvis Fly gear and apparel. Grande Lakes Outfitters also offers guests the chance to go back in time by canoe or kayak on Old Florida’s Shingle Creek with an Interpretive Eco-Tour by one of our water guides. All Adventures take place right here at Grande Lakes with guests being picked up in the Hotel Lobby of their stay by Grande Lakes Outfitters unmistakable Camouflaged Real Tree Cart. Fly Fishing on Shingle Pond from Hyde Drift Boats For a true Fly Fishing Experience our Professional Guide will pick you up at the front of your hotel and shuttle you to picturesque Shingle Pond located at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club. Enjoy a three-hour excursion Fly Fishing for Largemouth Bass from Pro Series Hyde Drift Boats with tours leaving early morning or late afternoon. $160 per person (max 4 guests), includes use of Orvis equipment

Full Day Fly Fishing Seminars Spend an entire day at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club with our Professional Guide learning all aspects of the art. Inside instruction, combined with outside casting, culminating in an afternoon fishing excursion on Shingle Pond. Group Fly Fishing Seminars A three-hour view into the art of Fly Fishing. Family and Corporate groups are welcome for a classroom seminar and dry-land casting training provided by our own Professional Guide. $140 per person (max 20 guests), includes use of Orvis equipment

Starting Feb 1st Private Guided Eco-Tours on Shingle Creek Traveling back in time on Shingle Creek, guests will enjoy a three-hour Guided Canoe and Kayak Eco-Journey. Our Water Guides will tell you the story of Shingle Creek and all its inhabitants while paddling through scenic old Florida. Includes use of all water craft, equipment, and safety gear for your travels. $80 per person (max 10 guests)

Five Hour Program For the novice Fly Angler, Grande Lakes Outfitters offers a group Fly Fishing seminar. First, some History of the art followed by some equipment basics leads to hands on casting in one of our locations beautiful lawns. After another brief classroom session indulging in the many types of Fly Fishing and a slide show of our Directors adventures, guests will go to Shingle Pond and finish their adventures on a walking tour Fishing for Largemouth Bass. Anglers should come prepared with a spirit to learn, some comfortable outdoor clothing and some footwear that doesn’t mind a walk on the wild side. All Orvis equipment is provided on your five hour tour or feel free to stop by our Fishing corner for the latest in cool Orvis attire and gear. ($160.00 per person) max 20 guests
