On page 3 of the manuscript, there is an error in the first sentence of section 2.10: the wavelength of absorbance should read 530 nm instead of 350 nm. Also in section 2.10, in the formula used for the calculation of the percentage of inhibition of fructosamine, it should read absorbance instead of fluorescence. The Royal Society of Chemistry apologises for these errors and any consequent inconvenience to authors and readers.
