FINISHING Drawstring Note: Follow the instructions carefully to make a thick, sturdy cord. When instructed to turn the work, bring the right side edge towards you and then over to the left side. With 2 strands held tog, ch 2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Row 2: Turn, but do not ch 1. You should be looking at the back of the sc you made in Row 1, the hook and working loop should be on your right. Just to the left of the top loops of the sc you made in Row 1 will be a strand running cross-wise, insert hook from right to left under this strand and work an sc. Row 3: Turn, but do not ch 1. To the left of the top loops of the sc you made in the previous row there are now 2 strands running cross-wise, insert hook from right to left under these 2 strands and work an sc. Rep Row 3 until Drawstring measures about 60 in. (152.5 cm) long. Fasten off. Thread Drawstring through Rnd 14 twice, going under cables and over dc between cables. Sew ends of Drawstring tog to form a loop. Weave in ends.
