The DigComp framework has been endorsed by EU Member States representatives in the Education and Training 2020 Programme Thematic Working group on "ICT and Education". Several Member States already use DigComp in different ways and it also has various Europeanwide implementations. The list below gives a snapshot of a given moment of implementations.
Teacher professional development
Lithuania The translation of the DigComp framework (http://www.upc.smm.lt/projektai/mentep/DIGCOMP_saltiniai.php) by the Education Development Centre (http://www.upc.smm.lt/veikla/about.php). Input for planning teacher Professional Development programme.
Spain
The Min. of Education, INTEF, created the Common Framework for Teacher Digital Competence (http://blog.educalab.es/intef/2016/12/22/marco-comun-de-competenciadigital-docente-2017-intef/) based on DigComp. The use is agreed between the State and Regional governments. It is used as a base for planning teacher Professional Development programmes, e.g. a MOOC (http://mooc.educalab.es/courses/INTEF/INTEF162/2016_ED3/about?preview-lang=en), Noocs (http://mooc.educalab.es/courses/INTEF/NOOC02/2016_ED1/about)and other digital resources (http://formacion.educalab.es/course/index.php?categoryid=26).
Portugal The Min. of Education uses DigComp as an input for teachers' PD. The translation (http://www.erte.dge.mec.pt/sites/default/files/Recursos/Estudos/digcomp_quadro_europeu _de_referencia_para_a_competencia_digital.pdf) is done by CIDTFF (https://www.ua.pt/cidtff/) and supported by the MoE.
Croatia The e-Schools project (http://www.carnet.hr/e-schools/project_description) by Croatian Academic and Research Network uses DigComp to support teachers in their Professional Development.
Extremadura, Spain Extremadura implements the Spanish DigComp for Teachers Digital Competence Portfolio (http://www.educarex.es/edutecnologias/porfoliotic.html).
Norway The Norwegian Centre for ICT in Education uses DigComp as a references to develop a teacher digital competence framework.

Flanders, Belgium
The translation of DigComp by Dept. of Education. It is used as an input to curricula review and to develop adult education courses.
Netherlands SLO- Institute for curriculum development in the Netherlands, a governmental body, uses DigComp as a framework for reference to compare the stated outcomes with their framework on "Digital Literacy" for primary and secondary education. The core target users are learners in formal education or training. France The French platform PIX (http://pix.beta.gouv.fr/) allows all citizens to evaluate and eventually also certify their digital competence. The model, which is co-designed by the Min. of Education, uses DigComp.
Poland Training for certification purposes based on DigComp is provided by ECCC Foundation (http://www.eccc.edu.pl/) and ECDL in Poland. Emilia-Romagna region, Italy Uses DigComp to re-design courses/materials in Pane e internet (http://www.paneeinternet.it/index.php), an e-inclusion initiative.
Slovenia DigComp is translated by the National Education Institute. The DigComp framework is used for the assessment of students' digital competence in the subject of ICT.
Spain, La Red de Bibliotecas Universitarias Españolas (The Network of Spanish University Libraries) REBIUN, the Network of Spanish University Libraries uses DigComp to upskill (http://www.rebiun.org/competenciadigital/Paginas/documentacion.aspx)students in its network of 76 Spanish universities.
Assesment (for employability)
Basque country, Spain The Ikanos project (http://ikanos.blog.euskadi.net/?page_id=2423&lang=en) by the Basque Government uses the DigComp framework to deploy the Digital Agenda. This includes a free online testing tool (http://ikanos.encuesta.euskadi.net/index.php/566697/lang-en) that is based on DigComp's five areas of digital competence.
Denmark Center for Digital Dannelse (http://digitaldannelse.org/) (Digital Literacy) has created the "Digital Competency Whee (https://dc.digitalekompetencer.dk/front/start)l" to assess, to provide an overview and to improve the most relevant digital skills. The work is based on DigComp as a theoretical framework.
Andalucia, Spain The portal "Andalucia digital" by the Regional Government of Andalusia offers a free of charge online self-assessment (http://www.digcomp.andaluciaesdigital.es/) tool based on DigComp's five areas of digital competence. After the self-assessment, job seekers can access training material in different areas.

Policy support, framework implementation
Germany The new strategy called “Bildung in der digitalen Welt (http://www.kmk.org/fileadmin/Dateien/pdf/PresseUndAktuelles/2016/Bildung_digitale_Welt _Webversion.pdf)” (Education in the digital world) is approved by the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany . Malta The Ministry for Education and Employment in Maltese "Digital Strategy (https://education.gov.mt/en/elearning/Documents/Green%20Paper%20Digital%20Literacy %20v6.pdf)" includes DigComp.
Poland The Min. of Digital Affairs published a catalogue of digital competence frameworks (https://mc.gov.pl/projekty/polska-cyfrowa-po-pc-2014-2020/ramowy-katalog-kompetencjicyfrowych) for Digital Poland 2014-2020 referring to DigComp.
Italy
The Italian Digital Agenda (http://www.agid.gov.it/%73ites/default/files/documenti_indirizzo/agid__competenze_digitali_2016_r11.pdf) will translate and implement DigComp as part of its strategy in 2016.
European-wide examples & project implementations
Skillage Skillage (http://www.skillage.eu/) assesses one's understanding of ICT in an employment setting. The categories are inspired by the DigComp model. At the end, one gets a Skillage Report which can be used to help improve skills in the local Telecentre network (http://www.telecentre-europe.org/).
ECDL Foundation ECDL Foundation, which is an international organisation, delivers certification programmes in all EU countries. The ECDL certification modules are focused on tools and applications which cover competences outlined in DigComp.
Carer + Carer + (http://www.carerplus.eu/) supports professional development of care workers facing new challenges in the digital age. For this purpose, it has created a competence framework which used DIGCOMP as one of the basic component.
