Global Marketing Manager (Consultancy) The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are currently seeking to fill a consultancy post of Global Marketing Manager in our Liaison Office in Washington, DC, for a contract period of 6 months, extendable up to 11 months. The Global Marketing Manager is a member of the Communications and Private Partnerships team and is responsible for developing, leading and coordinating a marketing plan to support WFP’s global private sector deals through associated marketing plans, cause-related marketing, digital initiatives and social media. The Manager reports to the Head of Strategic Communications and will work closely with the Director of Communications and Private Partnerships. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following key duties: • •

Lead in developing and executing a global marketing plan around the issue of hunger; Oversee creative development and communications plans for a variety of cause related marketing campaigns for a multitude of diverse private sector clients/companies; Market WFP as leading UN agency building and implementing public-private partnerships; Develop and consolidate global marketing “assets” (collateral, images and tools) to maximize WFP’s leadership, communication and private sector teams’ efforts to market and advocate for support for hunger and WFP; Identify and lead opportunities to market and leverage existing WFP tools and platforms for engagement; Manage organizational identity and ensure compliance with branding guidance for external outreach efforts; In coordination with Online Managers, oversee global online branding, ensuring consistency across agency’s various platforms and with offline efforts (e.g. print materials); Manage WFP’s Freerice.com online asset to maximize growth and opportunities; Develop global internal marketing training tools and deploy to WFP offices to build WFP communications and private sector teams’ marketing expertise.

Requirements • • • • • • • •

Minimum of 5-10 years relevant experience in marketing or related field with a focus on cause related marketing and brand awareness; Demonstrated experience in developing and executing innovative marketing strategies; Online marketing and social media experience; Previous experience with client management (with internal or external partners); Deep marketing expertise, agency experience and/or knowledge of brand management is a plus; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects concurrently; Innovative thinker who blends big ideas with realistic execution focused around successful metrics; 1

Possess a positive can-do attitude and an ability to adjust to an ever-changing dynamic environment; Team oriented with ability to motivate and work well with diverse, global and cross-functional teams.
